Covid-19

Dear Friends
I hope that you are all keeping safe and well during this period. We come again to the end of another week of lockdown as we work together to help reduce the transmission risk of Coronavirus.
I recognise that social isolation is a real challenge for many and I know that many of you are using the opportunity to read, listen to music, watch the television,  spend time in the garden or chat with friends using the telephone. It is at times like this we realise just what we take for granted in our everyday lives and we also realise how important it is to stay connected with others.
It is a few weeks since we last met together at Church in person but I hope that with the resources we share with the service sheets or using the opportunity to join a telephone or online Zoom service you are able to connect with your Church family so that we can continue to pray for others and ourselves during this time.
Recently I was delighted to find a card sent to Church from an anonymous friend and it reads:
“Thank you for every blessing you have given us, even when we are too fearful and weary to see them. Thank you for the greatest gift you ever gave us, to save us all. Please give strength to those that need it most now, remind them that you never have them endure more than they are able to. Love, faith, fury and acceptance x”
It was a pleasure to receive the card and I am sure this could be the basis of a prayer for us all, but more importantly a timely reminder that someone has taken the time to write this and deliver it to Church to share with us all as a powerful message of love and hope.
I hope that you are able to continue to join us in daily prayer at 6.00pm so that we can connect together as a Church – please do this wherever you are.
Perhaps you have the opportunity to pray outdoors and if you do just take the opportunity in the quiet and stillness to reflect on the wonder of God’s creation and especially to recognise the wonderful work of many special people who are caring for our communities and striving to keep us all save.
As you pray this week please hold our friends on the prayer list in your thoughts and prayers:
Frank & Barbara
