Covid-19

Dear Friends,
I hope you are all keeping safe and well during this difficult time. I guess like me you were hoping we may not need a further written update and bulletin from the Church as we hoped things would improve and we could all meet together in person. Sadly, a further national lockdown will be introduced shortly in order to reduce the transmission of Coronavirus. In the meantime we are holding our morning service at Church tomorrow at 10.45am as we await guidance on the next steps for public worship. I realise that many of you will not feel able or safe to join in person at this time of uncertainty. As we receive further guidance from the Methodist Church nationally and from our Circuit Leadership Team I will update you on the plans for worship during the coming weeks.

A number of local Churches have taken the decision to temporarily suspend worship in their Churches but will be using a range of Why Pay (telephone) and Zoom (internet based) services. The Circuit has chosen to reinstate the weekly Sunday morning Zoom service which will be held at 11.30am. The link for this is below and this will remain the same over the coming weeks. If you don’t wish to join via computer you can phone into the service using one of the numbers below and entering the meeting ID and Passcode.

Coronavirus is sadly impacting on many people and some of you will know that Glenn and Jackie Parkes have been affected. Glenn is making steady progress at home but Jackie remains in hospital and is receiving oxygen. Please continue to hold the family in your prayers. Many people both locally and throughout the World are currently affected by Coronavirus in many ways be this physically, mentally, socially or financially. Please continue to pray for them and for the early development of an effective vaccine. Please do continue if you are able to pray at 6pm each evening and join with others from our Church so that we can unite in the power of prayer.
Please pray for those on our prayer list.
