AJ On ...

‘So ... hang on ... let me see if I’ve got this right ... you want to build a boat.’
            ‘Yes, that’s right.’
‘Out here.’
            ‘Yes.’
‘In the desert.’
            ‘Yes, that’s right.’
‘Where it hasn’t rained in living memory.’
            ‘Yes.’
‘Forgive me if I don’t get ...’
'erm ... um ...'
‘A boat ...’
            ‘Yes.’
‘Desert.’
            ‘‘Yes, that’s right.’
‘No rain.’
            ‘Yes.’
‘Tell me something.’

In 1896, Swedish Nobel chemist Svante Arrhenius was recognized for his theory of climate change. In 1988, the United Nations created the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change ‘to provide the governments of the world with a clear scientific view of what is happening to the world’s climate.’

It is now just over 120 years since Arrhenius’ climate change theory, and massive floods repeatedly threaten even the most developed countries.

Here’s an interesting f(l)ood for thought ...

In Noah’s time, God gave the people 120 years of warning …

At the time of writing in the last month India, Afghanistan, Ecuador, Oman, Pakistan, New South Wales, Kedah, Austria, Turkey, Russia, Ivory Coast, Bangladesh, Cape Town, Assam, Columbia, Nepal, USA, Argentina, Chile, France, Cuba and Sri Lanka have all suffered major flooding resulting in destroyed properties and, sadly, fatalities too.
